About Borealis Color
At Borealis Color, we believe that all people are inherently creative, and that anyone who so desires can express creativity through art. Like learning a foreign language, the ability to express oneself through art improves with practice and discipline - but even those who don’t believe they have “talent” can do it.
Founded in 2007, Borealis Color is owned and operated by local artist Susan Olsen, with the support of her family. Garth and Evan Olsen, her strapping teenagers, are frequent helpers, as is artist Margo Nagle, Susan’s mother. Technical support is often provided by Susan’s husband, Eric.

We are dedicated to helping people find the creative paths which bring them fulfillment. Our regular hours are:
- 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Friday
- 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Saturday
- Open until 7 pm for Art Walks: June 17, July 15, August 19, and September 16.
- Closed Sunday & most holidays
